fonolab WE-407/ST Medium Mass Straight Tonearm
Medium mass straight tonearm based on SAEC WE-8000ST geometry with carbon or aluminum armtube.
The tonearm is based on the SAEC WE-407 Double Knife Edge bearing assembly. Using the original design of the tonearm, we have taken the liberty of updating some of the elements to meet the current level of quality and ease of use.
The implementation of modern elements such as bearings or internal wiring allowed us to breathe new life into the tonearm while maintaining our idea of maximizing the reuse of preserved and well-proven vintage elements and details.
WE-407/ST features:
Classic tonearm Baerwald geometry
Modern NSK/NMB microbearings are installed, supports are replaced in the knife bearings and the pressure is adjusted.
Damping brass and vibration-absorbing elements are installed in the tube developed by us.
OFC or silver internal wiring with new gold plated 5pin output connector
Original fonolab VTA on the fly adjuster.
