SAEC G-1001 Overhang Gauge
This gauge has been designed so that it allows easy, fully accurate measurement and adjustment of stylus overhang – i.e., the distance between the center of the tonearm pivot and the turntable center spindle.
 
 
Time constant equalizer SAEC TC-11 (1978, JPY 32,000)
This equalizer ultimately eliminates the cause of phase lifting occurring between cartridge and amplifier.

Electrostatic type cartridges represented by MM type are a kind of alternator, electric current is generated due to cantilever vibration. However, at the same time and because of this generated current load current - damping force affecting the cantilever occurs. The change in frequency accompanying cantilever damping force flattens out frequency and phase characteristics, the audio image becomes ambiguous and the sound clouded. Time constant equalizer TC-11 was developed to ultimately eliminate this damping force root and branch. The cartridge output voltage is made more true to RIAA curve, the current is made irrespective of RIAA curve constant and also phase characteristics are corrected.

TC-11 is mounted and used between player output and EQ amplifier input.

It can be used with most of the MM and IM type cartridges available on the market.

SAEC recommend using CX-8003 for player system output cord and LX series line cord to connect TC-11 to the amplifier.

SAEC ULS-2 Headshell (1978, JPY 2,000)
A theoretically perfect headshell must combine low resonance and absolute rigidity with extremely light weight. These SAEC headshells are closer to the ideal than any previous designs on the market. They weigh-in at a scant 7,3 grams. And a new berylium washer assures rigid connection to the tonearm. Available separately or as enclosed in a deluxe case to protect them when not in use.
The connection to the arm pipe is done using Beryllium washer and TT method (3 point crimping), eliminating the joint free-play. Weight: 7,3g

SAEC ULS-2X Headshell (1978, JPY 4,100)
The SAEC ULS-2X (composite headshell combines a hard-pressed special aluminum alloy (2,5mm thickness) with titanium. The result is a nonresonating body of high rigidity. Moreover, the headshell connects with the tonearm by means of a three-point force-press fastener that makes the headshell and arm pipe completely integral. Reproduction over the full frequency range is significantly improved with this new headshell. This headshell surpasses all other existing metallic headshells in performance. Weight: 9,5g
 

SAEC ULS-3X Headshell (1978, JPY 12,500)
Here’s the ultimate headshell. This solid type, high-level headshell is fashioned of high purity (99,7%) sintered and multi-chrystalized aluminum oxide. The extreme hardness of this material (200 times hard than that of ordinary headshells) prevents it from resonating as the stylus moves. Tonearm Acoustic PU cable CX-5006A (JPY 4,600) / CX-5006B (JPY 5,500) / CX-8003 (JPY 3,000)

The SAEC CX-5006A is low resistance, low capacitance and low inductance output cord for MC cartridge' (20-120 Ohm) use. This also shows a high leakage resistance value. The CX-5006A has been deve¬loped for the purpose of decreasing transmitting losses and fault current as much as possible based on a basic concept, which aims at eliminating them completely. As for the quality of a tone to be repro¬duced, thorough analysis has been made to such an extent that transmitting losses and fault current of the output cord may be ignored. Also, high grade silver rhodiem treatment is applied to the treatment of terminal in consideration of prevention of abrasion resulting from contact with a plug or equivalent.

As for the quality of a tone to be reproduced, thorough analysis has been made to such an extent that transmitting losses and fault current of the output cord may be ignored. Turntable mat SAEC SS-300 (1978, JPY 16,500)
A solid mat from a special metal developed based on a new theory. This unique solid turntable mat eliminates the distortion-producing resonance in the 200-400Hz range, which is common to most all conventional rubber mats. This results in a 10~20dB net reduction in overall resonance, to further reduce distortion at its source.
